3 tips for fresh children's feet
The sun is out, and with it come... sweaty feet!
Have you noticed that your child is more likely to suffer from warm, damp feet? Don't panic — it's completely normal.
Why do children's feet sweat so quickly?
Children do not have the same sweat glands as adults. They therefore sweat mainly through their feet. Did you know that on a warm day this quickly amounts to a small 'bubble' of sweat?
Fortunately, you can make a difference with a few simple steps.
1. Choose leather shoes
Leather is a natural breathable material.
It absorbs sweat, lets it evaporate again and keeps the feet dry and fresh. This applies to both sneakers and sandals.
💡 Tip: preferably choose models without synthetic lining.
2. Change your shoes daily
Wearing the same pair every day? No way.
By alternating, you give the shoes the chance to dry properly.
Also remove the insole if possible — this will help the inside dry out better. Alternating between a leather sneaker and a leather sandal works perfectly.
3. Wear cotton socks
Avoid synthetic socks (such as polyester).
Cotton absorbs moisture better and allows the skin to breathe. This keeps feet drier and prevents blisters or odor.
💡 Choose socks that fit well so that they do not slide around in the shoe.
