A story about a magical place and wild boars....
The adventure starts with finding the Farm House of Simon ... Neither our GPS in the car nor good old Google maps will guide us to the right spot. But our instincts ultimately lead us to the holiday home in Bettona. Surrounded by hills full of olive trees, we discover a completely renovated farm, supplemented with a glazed staircase, a fully equipped kitchen, 3 beautiful bathrooms, 3 spacious bedrooms,... pure indulgence for us (read 4 adults and 3 children). But the most attractive places are outside... a covered terrace with an endless view over the hills and a lovely swimming pool with some nice details. Not only the children fall in love with this swimming paradise :-).
An abundance of sunshine, fresh fruit that always tastes different from home, special friends and excellent Italian wine complete the picture. Historic cities such as Assisi and Perugia are just a 30' drive away. But Montefalco, Bevagna, Bettona and the medieval festival of Collemancio are themselves much closer. If you are looking for tourists, you have definitely come to the wrong place in these villages :-)
Late at night... when the children are sleeping... it is only the wild boars that disturb the silence of this magical place. Quite anxious because they can be very curious!
