Can you buy children's shoes too big? | Anna Pops advice

It may sound smart: buying children's shoes a size bigger so that they last longer. But in practice, that is often not a good idea.
Shoes that are too big can do more harm than good — for both the shoes and the feet that wear them.

1. Faster wear

If a shoe is not properly filled, the material will slide with every step.
This causes friction inside, which causes the shoe to wear out faster and therefore last less long. Ironic, right?

2. Discomfort & Blisters

A children's shoe that is too spacious means that the foot moves too much in the shoe.
This causes friction, blisters and most importantly: discomfort. Your child will be less happy wearing his shoes - and that is a shame for such a beautiful pair.

3. Poor walking posture

A shoe that does not fit properly cannot adapt to the natural shape of the child's foot.
The result? A disturbed walking posture, and in the long term even an impact on your child's posture.

What then?

Always choose a perfectly fitting children's shoe .
At Anna Pops we are happy to help you find a pair that is not only beautiful, but also fits well and supports the healthy foot development of your child.
