Preferably by appointment?
At the beginning of July it happened again, we took the train to Paris.
We (Judith, Tina, Filip and our mini model Fauve) went to the fashion city to discover, feel, try on and put together the summer collections for 2020.
Our three-day city trip is filled with the large fair ' Playtime ', the alternative fair KID where mainly emerging but also more alternative brands gather and a series of visits to private showrooms. In addition to the clothing and shoe collections, the focus is on meeting the makers. During these moments we intensely experience the efforts they make and the passion with which they work on their creations. Every designer with his story…. It is always extremely fascinating. After all, for them the fair is the final that they play for which they have fought for an entire season.
During these days the new Anna Pops collection is born. Shoes and clothing pass through critical hands and eyes that focus on the details.
Last but not least… the fit. We use our daughter Fauve, sometimes reluctantly, for this. After passing these technical tests, sometimes difficult choices are made. Our selection includes those where it is love at first sight. After all, it remains an emotional story in which personal aesthetics determine the winners. These lucky ones then end up in the store and the webshop!
One of our inspirational highlights this year, outside the walls of the fairs, was a visit to the committed brand Sézanne . You should discover this. We especially like the underlying story full of ambitions, without wanting to bluff... Very subtle and social. Our heads and hearts are once again full of challenges. Now we continue writing our personal Anna Pops story, in which fashion finds remain central. Here's one sneak preview to our visit to Paris.
