WoW what a MUM

WoW what a MUM

Ine Van Overloop

Mom of four / loves fashion / teaches / is a true ambassador of our store / ... but what else? We fired 4 questions at her...

4 children and all smartly dressed, what's the secret?
Favorite pieces are carefully selected and our children's outfits are usually coordinated. No sets, I hate that. Colors that return and nuances within the same style. Never perfect pieces in the closet here. We like to mix and match something ourselves. Combinations that are not obvious usually provide an original result. Character, individuality and simplicity. I also attach great importance to details. The right socks, scarves or hats give their outfit so much more. If they are chosen carefully, you do not need an arsenal of accessories. There are a few top items that can be combined with many other pieces and therefore often come out of the closet. It is not that we spend a huge amount of money on (children's) clothing. At the start of the season I choose the pieces that I really want. to have. Better to have a number of real toppers than a lot of average ones. Of course you pay a little more for that, but originality, fit and material make it worth it. There are often very nice things to be found in the sales! And even in the right second-hand groups you can get lucky every now and then.

Where do you get fashion inspiration and which brands are your all-time favorites?
There are a number of regular stores and clothing brands that I regularly visit. Usually an online visit, because with four children in a far corner of the Limburg countryside it is not easy to get to the right shops. But in the enormous range of online shops, I look for shops with character and their own style that usually appeal to me immediately, convince me. Or in other words, love at first sight. Entrepreneurs driven by passion, people who inspire, dare and create their own style. Instagram is also a wonderful source of inspiration? so many mothers share so many beautiful things. The brands I buy are diverse. I'm not a stickler for style, I mainly buy based on feeling. Still a number of permanent values in the closet, such as the Belgian Morley and Simple Kids. Furthermore, I have been a fan of Bobo Choses for years and now also TAO, because of the playful, artistic prints. The children themselves also find it great to wear. I also like my boys to be sober and 'soft'. We find this at FUB, Aymara and Kidscase. Newer Dutch brands such as Repose AMS and Mingo are also increasingly attracting my attention because of their high-quality basics.

Only passionate about fashion?
My husband and I are crazy about beautiful, original, pure things. In music, film, photography, houses, interior items, in restaurants, on our own table? in everything. The common thread is in individuality, character and passion. Appearance.

Favorite places to eat, Sunday outings and holiday destination with the kids?
Weekends with four children, three of whom are football players, are always busy. In our free moments we just love to be at home. My husband really likes to cook, we often meet up with friends or family on Sundays. I really enjoy my house full of people. We also go to the forest or, if planning allows, occasionally to the sea. The children (and so do we) love being outdoors. No exotic holiday destinations so far? We have been going to beautiful houses in France for our summer holidays for years. Must is a great view, swimming pool for the kids and delicious wine. We don't need much else. Last summer I even combined it with a week of camping (in a tent!). Completely back to basics, great! Have to compensate somewhere to be able to continue to pay for those clothes ;)
